When pepple think of Ogawa, they think of its Washi, or Handmade Japanese Paper. Especially Hoshokawa-shi has been admired for its unique producing skills and also its simplicity, which is registered for Important National Intangible Heritage.


Today people tend to favor the genuine and handmade products, which give warmth to our daily lives. Such a trend has made more and more people visit Ogawa, hometown of Washi, which cherishes its traditional crafts.
