Kannokura Mountain Hiking Course


For family hiking. And Easy course with good scenery

 

 

Kannokurayama, 344 meters above the sea level, is easy to climb, and there are various routes to look out the scenery of Ogawa area.

On the way home, you can enjoy walking around the town of Ogawa, which has attractive shops such as Sakagura ( a Japanese sake cellar ) .


This hiking course starts at Tobu Takezawa Station on the Tobu Tojo Line.

On the way to Kannnokura, you can find Sanko Shrine and Tennou Marsh by following the sign .

At the bank of the marsh there are big cherry trees and a small rest house. From this point the winding path starts , and  a 20-minute walk will take you to the mountain pass.

Then taking the left course will take you to the top of Kannokura, or@Sekisonsan.

You can enjoy a 360‹panorama , and also enjoy thrilling climbing down the rocky path to Kitamuki-Fudo.

Charcoal kilns and Anahachiman Kofun, an ancient tomb which is also be interesting to see.

Then you reach Ogawa-Machi Station.
